EYE ON THE PRIZE
The Delhi Capitals is one of the eight founding teams that plays in the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) and also have a team in the Women's Premier League (WPL), which reached the final in the debut season. Both teams are co-owned by the GMR Group and the JSW Group. Delhi Capitals was established in 2008 as Delhi Daredevils before embracing a new avatar in December 2018.
HONOURS
Currently coached by Australian legend Ricky Ponting, the Delhi Capitals have made the semifinals of the competition on two occasions - in 2008 and 2009, even topping the table in the latter edition. However, the team's high point arrived in the 2020 season where it made it to the final of the IPL and the semifinal of the Champions League Twenty20.
